      Ann Kramer’s ranch just east of the historical gold-mining town of Sutter Creek in Amador County provides near optimal conditions for the Mediterranean varieties we love. The foothills is all about geology (this is gold country) and the granitic soils lay their distinct thumbprint on this Syrah by providing brightness and texture.  Shake Ridge is one of those magical pieces of land that is remote, rugged and surrounded by typical foothills flora of Ponderosa Pines, Manzanita scrub and hundred-year-old Heritage Oaks. It’s a slice of Old California and we’ve done everything to craft a wine that signals its native wildland surroundings.

    We specialize in small production handcrafted fine wines that are not widely distributed.

     

    Because our winery partners only make small batches, most of our wines are "Special Order" (though more and more are making their way into the Utah state stores) and available for purchase through the Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services(DABS) online ordering system.

    You simply order online and the wines will be delivered to the local liquor store you choose.
