Tasting Notes: A bright, crisp wine with strong fruit flavor, including tropical notes, and a subtle sweetness. The use of Montrachet Yeast adds to the complexity of the nose and adds an intense tropical element. The long, slow temperature-controlled fermentation allows the esters to flourish in this wine, while allowing the palate to remain full and rich.
A follow-on to the Sonoma Harvest Fair winner from 2018, this wine was in the middle of fermentation at the time the fires of 2019 struck; causing PG&E power safety shutoffs, along with mandatory evacuations. The wine was on its own for a long, slow room temperature ferment, and did not undergo malolactic. Zero malo helps preserve freshness.
